On August 27, Dong-A Pharmaceutical (CEO Kim, Won-Bae) held a construction ceremony for an anticancer
drug plant in the Banwol Industrial Area in Ansan City. The high-tech plant will be completed in 2008 and will
be used to produce anticancer drugs such as Epirubicin for export to Europe and other advanced countries.




The Banwol plant will be a six floor building with an area of 2873㎡. More than 100 people were present at
the ceremony, including Chairman Kang, Shin-Ho and CEO Kim, Won-Bae. Chairman Kang stated, “We will
export to the entire world, including Europe, the US and Japan, and the Banwol plant will be our springboard.”
In early August, Dong-A signed USD 68 million worth of export contracts with five companies in three European
countries, and the company plans to expand foreign sales to 40% of total revenue in the mid to long term.
