Dong-A ST installs ramps for people with mobility the disabled at pharmacy entrances

On May 2, 2019, Dong-A ST (Chairman Eom Dae-sig) held a ramp installation ceremony for people with mobility the disabled at the Bokji Pharmacy located in Dapsimni-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.

The installation of the ramps is designed to support a healthy life by improving access to pharmacies for people with mobility the disabled. Dong-A ST and the Dongdaemun Welfare Center for the disabled signed the agreement last January to improve welfare for the disabled.

Dong-A ST and the Dongdaemun Welfare Center for the disabled will continue installing ramps at the entrances to pharmacies in Dongdaemun-gu until the end of this year.

Lee Seong-geun, the general manager of Dong-A ST’s business management division, Director Jeong Eun-ah of the Dongdaemun Welfare Center for the disabled, and Chairman Yoon Jong-il of the Seoul pharmaceutical Association attended the installation ceremony.

The fund for the installation of ramps was collected by the ‘Action Contribution Campaign’ conducted by Dong-A ST. A certain amount is donated to the Action Contribution Campaign according to the number of visits the sales representatives make to the customers.

An official of Dong-A ST said, “I hope that the newly installed ramps will ease the inconvenience that people with mobility the disabled experience when entering a pharmacy. We will continue our social contribution activities to enhance convenience and provide practical aid for the socially disadvantaged.”

Dong-A ST is carrying out various social contribution activities aimed at creating a brighter and warmer society. Dong-A ST is fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities, including its “Support for the Urban Forest Development Project’ which aims to reduce fine dust pollution and improve the urban environment, and the ‘Environment & Life Loving Class for Youth’ scheme, which is designed to teach youth about the importance of the environment and respect for all life.
