On May 13, 2019, Dong-A ST (Chairman Eom Dae-sig) announced that it will recruit participating students for ‘The 14th Environment & Life Loving Class for Youth’ from May 13 (Mon) to June 9 (Sun).

Dong-A ST has hosted the Environment & Life Loving Class for Youth for junior high school students annually since 2004.

The class is designed to nurture young students’ respect for life and raise their awareness of the value of the environment and all life, and to encourage them to actively protect life in the environment with their own hands instead of merely participating in volunteer activities such as collecting and recycling garbage.

All students from middle schools nationwide are eligible to participate in the event. Those who are interested should submit their applications through the official website of the Environment & Life Loving Class for Youth (http://www.dongagreenhand.co.kr). A total of 60 students (30 males and 30 females) will be selected by computer draw after reception of the application forms. The selected finalists will be announced on the website on June 21 (Fri). The participation fee will be fully paid by the sponsor (Dong-A ST).

The participants in the program, which will last from July 22 to 26 (Mon-Fri, 4 nights 5 days), the participants will learn about the importance of the environment and life at the seaside in Taean through various programs including a marine pollution lesson, marine ecology monitoring, and the blue sea campaign. The participants who complete the full program will receive a 10-hour volunteer activity certificate from the Seosan-Taean Environment Center.
