In his encouragement speech, Chairman Eom Dae-sig of Dong-A ST said, “We have organized this Environment & Life Loving Class for Youth in the belief that that everyone can live a healthy life free from disease in a clean and beautiful environment. I sincerely hope that the Class for Youth will help you realize the importance of the environment and communicate with the people around you about the environment when you return to your homes and go to school.”
The 14th Environment & Life Loving Class for Youth will be held for 4 nights and 5 days from July 22 (Mon) to 26 (Fri). The selected 60 junior high school students (30 males and 30 females) will learn about the importance of the environment and life through various programs and participate in a practical experience of environmental protection activities at the coast in Taean, which is a beautiful natural habitat for diverse wildlife species.
During the class, the students will participate in the blue sea campaign and various programs that allow them to explore coastal dunes and tidal flats, visit a fishing village, and attend a marine pollution lesson among other things.
The Environment & Life Loving Class for Youth has been held annually since 2004 to allow young students to experience and learn about the importance of the environment and life, rather than simply participating in volunteer activities such as collecting and recycling garbage.
