On December 24, 2018, Dong-A ST (Chairman Eom Dae-sig) announced that it had held the starting ceremony of the ‘1st Dong-A University Global Supporters’ program in the auditorium on the 7th floor of its Yongdu-dong headquarters in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul on the 21st.

The Dong-A university global supporters is a program on which university students go abroad to conduct marketing and volunteer activities. The program provides university students with opportunities to explore overseas and marketing activities to help them grow as global marketers.

Sixteen male and female university students were selected by application screening and interview. The selected supporters will travel to Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia to participate in local marketing and volunteer activities for 20 days and 21 nights from January 13 to February 2, 2019.

The starting ceremony included a congratulatory speech by Chairman Eom Dae-sig of Dong-A ST, a reading of the written oath by male and female representatives of the participating supporters, a photography session, an introduction to Dong-A ST’s overseas business division, and marketing training for each country the participants will visit.

Kim Na-yeon from Sookmyung Women’s University, selected as a Dong-A university global supporter, said, “I am very pleased to have been selected as the first Dong-A university global supporter. I expect to broaden my view of the world and grow further through the supporters’ activities.”

An official of Dong-A ST said, “It will be a good opportunity for these university students to research local markets, carry out marketing activities, and gain a wide variety of experiences abroad. We will continue to actively support the dreams and challenges of university students to help them grow into future talents.”
