On January 23, 2019, Dong-A ST (Chairman Eom Dae-sig) announced that it had signed an agreement with the Dongdaemun Welfare Center for the disabled to improve welfare for the disabled on the 22nd.

Charmain Eom Dae-sig of Dong-A ST and Director Park Jong-oh of Dongdaemun Welfare Center for the disabled attended the ceremony.

Under this agreement, Dong-A ST will sponsor the cost of installing ramps at the Dongdaemun Welfare Center for the disabled, while the Center itself will install ramps at forty pharmacies in Dongdaemun-gu.

This agreement is designed to support healthy living by improving access to pharmacies for people with mobility disabilities who use wheelchairs and mobility aids.

The fund for the installation of ramps was collected during the ‘Action Contribution Campaign’ conducted by Dong-A ST. A certain amount is donated to the Action Contribution Campaign according to the number of visits the sales representatives make to the customers. About 22 million KRW was donated from March to October last year, and the fund will also be used for social contribution activities.

An official of Dong-A ST said, “Many people with mobility disabilities have difficulty accessing pharmacies due to the presence of steps in the doorway. I hope these ramps will ease their inconvenience when going to a pharmacy. We will continue with our effort to find and assist neighbors in need.”
